Health Visiting & Breast-Feeding Support
The health visiting covering York Street patients offer support and advice to parents and carer’s of children aged between 0-5 years old, on parenting issues such as development, feeding, sleep, behaviour, relationships, toilet training and many more subjects. Advice or support can be offered via a home visit, telephone call or clinic consultation.
Your Child/ren will be offered a development assessment at six weeks by your GP. Further development assessments will be offered when your child is 1 year old and 2 and a half years.
A reminder will be sent to you for all these checks. You will then be asked to make an appointment
Appointments will automatically be sent to you for immunisations by the practice at 2, 3, 4 & 12 months, and again before your child starts school.
Access to your School Nursing Team is also available via the Primary school which your child attends.
