Acute prescriptions issued by a Doctor on the day are electronically sent to the Pharmacy of your choice. Please make sure the Pharmacy stated on your medical record is the one of your choice. So check with the Doctor before the end of the consultation.
A Repeat Prescription request can only be made for medicines that you are CURRENTLY taking and that have been prescribed by York Street Medical Practice clinicians. If you want to discuss a new medication, please arrange an appointment with a GP.
For clinical safety reasons and rules we have to follow, we do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the phone

Please allow three clear working days for repeat prescriptions to be dealt with. For example if we receive your request before 1pm on Tuesday it will be ready on Friday. If your request is received after 1pm, then this will not be picked up until the next working day and will be ready three clear working days after. If you request medication that is not on your repeat list, you may need to see or speak to a GP
We will no longer keep prescriptions for you at the surgery. Please ensure you have a nominated pharmacy set up. See the tab for electronic prescribing in the top listed menu under Prescriptions.
Please remember to order your medicines early so that you do not run out over the Christmas and New Year period.
