The surgery now processes ALL prescription requests electronically and does not provide printed prescriptions (FP10s). This means that once you have submitted your request for a repeat prescription, we will send the authorised prescription directly to your chosen pharmacy using a secure electronic link. This will speed up the process as you won’t need to come in to collect your prescription, nor will you need to wait for a courier to vist us to collect it, if this is your current preferred option. Instead you will go straight to your chosen pharmacy where your medication will be waiting for you to collect.
Similarly, if a GP needs to give you a prescription during a consultation, this too will be done electronically. Instead of giving you a printed prescription, he or she will send the request electronically directly to your chosen pharmacy.
Because everything is electronic, the risk of prescription requests being “lost in the system” is also eliminated as we will always know where you request is.

You will need to nominate a pharmacy for us to send your prescription to. This can be close to where you live, work or shop, the choice is yours. Use the form HERE to do this.
Some patients may be eligible to have multiple prescriptions sent electronically to a pharmacy, for collection each month for up to a year. This saves you the need to order your medication every month. In order to take advantage of this service you will need to have a discussion with your GP
