First Contact Practitioner (Physiotherapist)

Our FCP’s are physiotherapists with enhanced skills in the assessment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. These include;

All soft tissue injuries, sprains, strains or sports injuries

Arthritis

Possible problems with muscles, ligaments, tendons or bone

Spinal pain

Spine-related pain in arms or legs, including nerve symptoms

Changes to walking

Post-orthopaedic surgery/fractures

During your appointment you can expect your FCP to assess you, diagnose what is happening, provide expert advice on how best to manage your condition, and refer you on to specialist services if necessary.

Please do not book in with our FCP’s for any of the following:

Acutely unwell

Child under 16 years old

Medical management of rheumatoid conditions

Women’s health, antenatal and postnatal problems

House-bound patients

Medication reviews for non-MSK conditions

Medication reviews for non-MSK conditions

Headaches

Acute mental health crises
